“My previous experience with builders has always been poor, so my expectation level was that this was going to be a difficult time. Lee Causon came very highly recommended, and I can see why. He was terrific. We did have a long wait for Lee to be free, but I think that shows he’s busy and he doesn’t take on more than he and his team can manage at any one time. He is very knowledgeable, and accommodating. If you change your plans then he’s happy to work with you. We had a big chimney stack taken down from the roof all way through the house, and the supporting wall separating the kitchen and dining room removed and a steel beam inserted. This is a horrendously messy job, with ridiculous amounts of dust, and we stayed in the property during the work. The Causon team were brilliant, they worked hard and finished when they said they would. What was especially great was that they did their best to tidy up each day. This really helped us with our every day work. I work from home! We clearly agreed the work to be done in advance, Lee sent a payment plan and gave us a rough schedule of when each job would be finished. For a tradesmen to say what he’s going to do, do it, at the price agreed, and finishe when he said, he has restored some of my faith. I would definitely use Lee and the Causon team again. I highly recomend them. “
“We undertook a large renovation project with Causon Construction, creating a spacious, open-plan rear extension, an upstairs side extension and reconfigured bathrooms and a bedroom. Lee, Clive and the team were fantastic throughout. In spite of it being a rather daunting project for us, which included the back half of our house being removed and significant steel support structures installed before re-building, we had complete confidence in Lee from the start. We made several changes to the original internal plan and Lee worked with us to ensure we were able to achieve the best end-result. We also lived in the house throughout the build and Lee went out of his way to ensure we had a working kitchen, bathroom and living space at all times, so we could continue with day-to-day living. Any issues that arose were dealt with quickly and efficiently and the payment plan was easy to follow. “Our work involved taking out a big chunk of a dividing wall between the stairwell and landing, and leaving a banister size wall in its place. There was a huge amount of making good to do, including door frames, skirting, re-plastering etc. Whilst this was a relatively small job for Causon, all the work was done really professionally, the tradesmen were all friendly and considerate, and work was completed to time.
